If you weren’t busy Wednesday night and couldn’t wait 24 hours for college basketball to start again, you might have been watching the McDonald’s All-American Game on ESPN. If so, you were treated to more than just hoops. Last night sports nation witnessed the rebirth of the b-ball flat top, courtesy of the one Brandon Jennings. I know, you’re thinking that the flat went out with the likes of Detlef Schrempf, Dominique Wilkins and AC Green. I thought so, too. But this Jennings kid just brought it back–and how!
I kid you not. That’s the real deal. That hair makes every move look better. And of course it’s a huge publicity booster. You can’
t just be any scrub and pull that off. Jennings will attend Arizona next year and play for the Wildcats. He’s got a website, too–but nothing there is quite as interesting. Except maybe him scoring 63 points in one game. Jennings is one of those guys who seems to have all the style and publicity in his court, but hopefully he’ll stay in college for a few years and not end up like Sebastian Telfair, who also had the pub but not the maturity. Regardless, the hair alone warrants a big Fresh Prince Seal of Approval.
